This application utilizes a streamlined Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system tailored to the requirements of users who cannot see the screen. Its primary function is to read aloud the contents of prescription medication packages, including text and QR codes, with an emphasis on simplicity and ease of use. Features are intentionally limited to reduce potential confusion, ensuring that only essential information is accessed.
Security and privacy are prioritized, as the app is HIPAA-compliant, with all healthcare data stored locally on the device and not transmitted externally. The platform also serves as an educational resource, assisting not only patients but also their healthcare providers and caregivers in understanding medication regimens, ultimately supporting improved medical outcomes and promoting greater independence.
